Elisabeth Tuson studied with Ian Clarke and then at the Royal Academy of Music with Kate Hill, Sebastian Bell and Kate Lucas. Elisabeth graduated from the Academy in 2002 with a Bmus (hons) in performance.
In June 2004, Elisabeth won the woodwind section of the Anglo-Czech Trust Competition and was awarded the Bohuslav Martinu Foundation Prize. In November of the same year she was invited to Prague to give a performance in the historic Lichtenstein Palace.
Other competition successes include being a runner-up in the British Flute Society Performance Plus Competition and reaching the finals of the 2004 Thames Valley Young Musicians Platform.
