The Silver String flute and harp duo provides a wide range of music for all occasions, from concert recitals, to weddings and corporate entertainment. Their repertoire is extremely varied - from well-known classics, to British folk music, to great showpieces such as the Mozart flute and harp concerto, as well as works by more unusual contemporary composers. They are always happy to try to accommodate special requests.
The harp and flute perfectly complement each other to produce a rich,
but delicate sound. The pleasant timbres of the flute are offset against
the gracious mellowness of the harp. The two instruments are well-adapted
to provide a richly varied recital, or, equally, to create a magical musical
backdrop for a special event.
Both musicians are experienced performers. Elisabeth graduated from the
Royal Academy of Music, and Hannah from the University of Oxford.
The Silver String duo made its debut in the Holywell Music Room in Oxford
- reputedly the oldest purpose built concert hall in Europe. They work
mainly in Oxfordshire and its surrounding counties.
Wedding Ceremony (up to one hour) £280, and each subsequent hour at £180.
All other events £280 for the first hour and each
